My Journey as a Game Designer at Gameloft SEA

 Introduction: Senior Game Designer 

As a game designer at Gameloft SEA, I was part of a talented team responsible for creating innovative and engaging mobile games. I brought my passion for gaming and my expertise in game mechanics, gamification, UI/UX, and game economy to the table, and helped bring our projects to life.

With my strong collaboration skills, I worked closely with artists, developers, and producers to bring the best gaming experience to players. I was responsible for creating and iterating on game systems and mechanics, designing levels and challenges, and overseeing the overall player experience.

My time at Gameloft SEA was a great opportunity to hone my skills and expand my knowledge in the game development industry. I'm proud to have been a part of a company that values creativity and excellence, and I look forward to continuing my journey in this exciting field.

 2021: Gameloft for Brands

Gameloft for Brands is a unique service offered by Gameloft that provides companies with customized games as an innovative way to engage with their customers and drive user acquisition. As a game designer for this project in Gameloft Indonesia, I was selected as one of the first designers to work on this exciting initiative. During my time on the project, I was tasked with exploring and learning the necessary knowledge to create a variety of games that met the needs and goals of our clients. This was a challenging yet fulfilling opportunity that allowed me to further develop my skills as a game designer and create impactful, interactive experiences for users.

 2020 - 2021: Sniper Fury 

First Person Shooter  - Android  - Premium Version - Amazon Store 

As Sniper Fury's freemium version boasts over 100 million downloads on both Google Play Store and Apple's App Store, it became necessary to introduce a premium monetization model to provide a seamless gaming experience for new users without affecting the established player base.

As a part of the project, I was tasked with converting the freemium version of the game to a premium model while also optimizing it to reduce its size. My role was crucial in ensuring that the transformed game provided an optimal gaming experience for all players.

 2020 Achievement : Gameloft's Game Designer Future Talent  

 2017 - 2020: Real Football (2018, 2019, and 2021)

As a Creation Game Designer, I was primarily focused on the Real Football series, which was released annually (Real Football 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021). My tasks included developing new game mechanics, creating a game pitch and formula, designing flow charts for game mechanics and balancing game parameters and economics. I was also responsible for the design of the user interface and user experience, as well as creating various support services such as FAQs and age gating. Additionally, I had to create all necessary game documentation and collaborate with graphic artists and programmers to ensure the successful implementation of the game.

*Please note: I am not working on Real Football 2020 because it's more focused on improving the quality of the game's visuals.

 2016: Nova Legacy 

Platformer - Java - Feature Phone - Premium - Gameloft Store 

As a Junior Game Designer on the Nova Legacy project, I was tasked with optimizing the game to reduce its size while still maintaining high quality. One of the biggest challenges of this project was ensuring that the game's size was small enough to run on low-end devices. Through my efforts in level design and optimizing the game's graphics and performance, I was able to successfully reduce the game's size from 1 GB to a mere 400 KB. This required me to be highly creative and innovative in order to find ways to minimize the game's footprint while still delivering a high-quality gaming experience to the players. Through my work on Nova Legacy, I honed my skills in game optimization, UI/UX design, and level design, and gained valuable experience in developing premium action-adventure games.

As a senior game quality assurance with 4 years of experience, I bring a high standard for video game releases to my role as a senior game designer. My experience includes checking the gameplay mechanic, game UI/UX, in-app purchases, advertisements, anti-hacking measures, and customer service relations, ensuring that the game meets the highest quality standards before release. This foundation of rigorous quality assurance provides me with the knowledge and basic foundation to design and create engaging and effective games.
